Hey everyone, I've made it to suches GA...I'm hiking with four other guys who are also solo hiking...they are from Ohio, Kentucky, Canada, and Georgia. The weather has been hell, no kidding the temp hasn't got above 28 deg. burrrr. We have been frozen for 3 days it's hard to stop blowing wind and ice from cutting through even the best of gear. Everyone in the group is still strong and in high spirits and we can all pace ourselves to crush miles pretty quick.
As of now I'm laying on the floor of a hikers hostel we each paid 15$ with a shower and it's warm for once. We did 10 miles before 1pm so decided instead of sitting in the freezing wind all day at gooch shelter we made a team decision to hike down into the town and hit the hostel.
